Cops and relative are searching for answers after a California teenager was fatally stabbed.
Dylan Dooling was eliminated around 11 p.m. on June 2 after leaving a high school graduation party, police stated. The Pittman High School graduate died the day after he graduated from the school, and at this time, no suspects have actually been detained.
” It is active and continuous,” Turlock Police Department Sgt. Michael Parmley tells PEOPLE. “Our lead detective has actually conducted multiple interviews, and we are still attempting to determine who the suspect or suspects are.”
Parmley says the party was supposed to be “an event of some young kids and women graduating high school.”
The stabbing occurred in Turlock, just a short distance far from the house celebration.
” The victim was with some other people thought to be women,” Parmley says. “As he left the place of the party he was approached by another group of people.”
Police stated Dooling got into a physical battle with the group of males and ” during the battle the victim was stabbed at least one time.”
Pastor Morri Elliot informed CBS13 that the teen was killed defending his sweetheart.
” Dylan didn’t deserve this, and nobody deserves this,” he told the outlet.
Parmley states he couldn’t discuss the intention. “I don’t have a definitive answer,” he states.
The suspects, who were referred to as white or Hispanic in their teens to early 20s, left the area.
” I was informed they remained in dark clothing and driving a dark-colored automobile,” he states.
Dooling was taken to a regional healthcare facility where he died from his injuries about one hour later. It is uncertain if the suspects went to the graduation party.
According to a GoFundMe campaign, Dooling had actually simply graduated from Pitman High School and was “thrilled to start college, where he prepared to attend MJC in the fall.”
” He liked his big household and enjoyed socializing with his cousins,” according to the project. “Dylan might put a smile on anybody’s face with his silly humor and transmittable laugh.”
Parmley states the department is asking the public for help in solving the brutal murder.
” It is very essential to have the general public’s help,” says Parmley. “With any murder examination it is important we fix them and bring justice to the family of the victim and to the victim himself. We don’t tolerate this kind of criminal activity in Turlock.”
