The starlet– who played Daphne in the live-action 2002 Scooby-Doo film and its 2004 follow up, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed– was dressed rather in a different way from her character, in wide-leg denims and a black top with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows. She ended up the look in white sneakers and a set of dark sunglasses.
” New (old) whip,” she joked in the caption.

Back in February, Gellar opened about a “steamy” deleted scene from the first Scooby-Doo movie throughout her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
The story happened as the Wolf Pack actress fielded a concern from audiences who inquired about a reported “relationship on the side” between Daphne and Velma (Linda Cardellini) in the James Gunn– written film.
” I do not know about a relationship on the side,” Gellar stated, “but there was a steamy– I imply, I stated it was steamy, but they probably didn’t believe it was, for this reason it was cut … “.
After host Andy Cohen asked the starlet to clarify what she suggested, Gellar confirmed there was a smooching minute between the two characters.
” It was an actual kiss in between Daphne and Velma that got cut,” she stated. “I feel like the world wants to see it, however I don’t understand where it is.”.

While fans of the film didn’t get to see Velma and Daphne lock lips on screen, the movie did feature a real-life couple: Gellar and costar Freddie Prinze Jr., who ‘d previously met on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) and got married in September 2002.
In honor of their 20th wedding anniversary last year, Gellar and Prinze, 47, collaborated tribute posts on social media, both sharing romantic images from their weddings as well as more current photos.
One vintage-looking image from their wedding showed Prinze kissing the hand of his long time love, who used a strapless gown accentuated by an easy bun for the wedding.
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum also dropped a number of images of Prinze on her Instagram Story. In one, the actor had his arm around his better half as she looked up at him lovingly.
